​SEAL Netherlands Releases Adopted Seal Pup Back into the Ocean

SEAL Analytical Netherlands is proud to share the heartwarming story of Rohasys, a rescued seal pup that we adopted in collaboration with A Seal Stellendam, a renowned seal rescue and rehabilitation center in the Netherlands. Last year, after months of dedicated care, Rohasys was successfully released back into the ocean at Beach Club ‘t Gorsje in Ouddorp, marking a special moment for our team and reinforcing our commitment to marine conservation.

Rohasys: A Symbol of Conservation and Innovation

Rohasys was rescued after being found weak and suffering from lungworms. Under the expert care of A Seal Stellendam, he made a full recovery, symbolizing the incredible impact of wildlife rehabilitation efforts. SEAL Analytical Netherlands named him "Rohasys" as a tribute to our company’s origins — Rohasys being the name of the previous company before it became part of SEAL Analytical.

As a company dedicated to water quality analysis, our mission aligns with the protection of marine ecosystems. Our innovative instruments, including the AA500, QuAAtro39, and AQ400, support laboratories and marine research institutes in monitoring and safeguarding water environments. By adopting Rohasys, we aimed to contribute to a cause that resonates deeply with our work — protecting our oceans for future generations.

A Memorable Release Day

The entire SEAL Analytical Netherlands team joined the special moment at Beach Club ‘t Gorsje, witnessing Rohasys and his fellow rehabilitated seals make their way back to their natural habitat. Seeing them look back at us one last time before disappearing into the waves was a truly emotional experience, reminding us why marine conservation matters. The day ended with a celebration at the Beach Club, where we reflected on our shared commitment to environmental stewardship.
