SEAL Analytical UK and Porvair Sciences Support Local Conservation with Wild Ground

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, SEAL Analytical UK and Porvair Sciences recently partnered with Wild Ground for a tree planting initiative at the Broughton nature reserve in North East Wales. This hands-on conservation effort supports habitat restoration and reinforces our dedication to reducing environmental impact, both within our operations and in the wider community.

Wild Ground owns and manages key ecological sites across the region, working to enhance biodiversity, protect wildlife, and engage local communities in conservation efforts. Their work ensures that these vital habitats are maintained for current and future generations, and initiatives like tree planting play an important role in long-term ecosystem health.

During the event, our team joined Porvair Sciences in planting native oak trees, which can live for up to 900 years while capturing many tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere. Oak trees also support more biodiversity than any other native species in the UK, providing habitat and food for insects, birds, and mammals while enriching the surrounding ecosystem—even their fallen leaves contribute to soil health and decomposition cycles.

With this tree planting, SEAL Analytical UK joined other branches of SEAL Analytical and Porvair Laboratory Division companies in improving their community's environment through tree plantings, waterway and roadside cleanups, and invasive species removal. At SEAL Analytical, we believe that small actions contribute to long-term environmental change, and we look forward to continuing our sustainability efforts in meaningful ways.
