Location: SEAL Analytical US Headquarters (Mequon, WI) + Travel across US

Employment Type: Full-time

SEAL Analytical is seeking a Robotics Support Engineer to join our growing support and service team. This new role supports the high-demand expansion of SEAL’s Robotic Handling and Sample Preparation product line.

The Robotics Support Engineer will provide expert-level service, support, and training to laboratories using SEAL’s robotic systems across the US. This includes performing on-site installations and repairs, conducting user training, developing procedural documentation, and providing remote troubleshooting and support.

This role will collaborate closely with SEAL’s internal engineering, product development, and R&D teams, and is a key part of ensuring SEAL Analytical continues to deliver the best laboratory support in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installations, trainings, repairs, and maintenance for SEAL Analytical Robotics systems
  • Teach customers daily, weekly, monthly maintenance tasks following checklists
  • Maintain a deep, system-level understanding of SEAL’s Robotics products to serve as a key internal and external resource for advanced troubleshooting, mechanical diagnostics, and application support
  • Provide troubleshooting support to customers over both phone and email channels
  • Analyze customer data, walk customer through diagnostic tests, and recommend solutions
  • Develop customer bulletins and procedural documents to support optimal system use
  • Perform in-house instrument servicing and assembly as needed
  • Track and report on service trends, customer needs, and technical challenges
  • Manage travel arrangements and documentation for service visits
  • Maintain detailed customer interaction records in SEAL’s Customer Records System
  • Support software testing and contribute to ongoing R&D projects
  • Foster positive, long-term customer relationships aligned with SEAL’s reputation for world-class support

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in technical service, support, or instrumentation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required
  • Basic chemistry laboratory skills preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage effectively with users at all experience levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time (primarily weekdays, 2 – 5 day overnight trips, domestic US travel; some international travel possible)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to obtain a valid passport
  • Must be physically capable to move 50 lbs.
